It's surreal, unsettling, depressing, hilarious, and mind-blowing all at once. It's got very strong influence from Earthbound and the rest of the Mother series (I can't confirm this as I haven't played through Earthbound and Mother don't worry, I will after LISA). Mainly serving to tell anyone who hasn't played this game before that they need to get it and play through it. Its not the first time Bradys life has been in the hands of the Faceless leader Kai-Ren, and if theres one thing Brady hates its being reminded exactly how powerless he is. Now, I'm not finished with it yet, but I felt compelled to write this. Brady Garrett is back in space, this time as an unwilling member of a team of humans seeking to study the alien Faceless and their technology. It has made me guffaw many times through my 7 hours with it thus far. It's a riot to read the bizarre dialogue at times, and some of the characters have very stand-out phrases.
Not only can LISA unsettle you, but goddamn can it make you laugh.
The odd creatures, alongside many hallucinations and other things are extremely unsettling yet extraordinarily well done. I can't say I've had many games mess with my head as much as LISA has so far. The storyline is absolutely fantastic, with some serious mind-bending shit in it. I'm kicking myself for NOT having played it last year when it was released. Cool Story, Bro ( 2021) (with Sarah Honey) Series contributed to Grim and Sinister Delights 1. I've been playing through LISA as of late, and I have to say it may be one of the best independent RPGs I have had the pleasure of playing.
